I
am currently working in a growing company and I am the second senior
employee of the company. It has been 1 year since our company launched.
First year, the company had only 6 employees, including me and the other
5 guys. I was in graphic designing, other two were in digital
marketing, one was in Android Development and the other two were in .net
development. The first few months we worked on many projects, but we
got our big break after successfully completing a project of clinic
management. Our company’s reputation reached the top and within a few
next months our number of clients and turnover increased drastically.
We
hired few new employees in the company and by few I mean nearly 100
employees. We hired accountants, HR, IT personnel and office
administrator. Our boss’ designation changed to chair main and we, the 6
first employees, became board members. I was not going to become a
board member because I have been just a graphic designer in the company.
Do you know how I became a board member? I became a board member
because of a boardroom table. Strange, right? Let me tell you what
actually happened.
As
our company grew, we needed a bigger office. Me and my other 5
colleagues were called by our boss to a new office building. We went to
the address he provided us. When we reached there we got amazed. It was a
25 storey office building and our new office was on the top floor. The
office had the best view. Carpenters were building furniture for the
office. Our boss showed us the furniture design in his computer. It was
mind boggling.
Next day, I got a call from my boss and he asked me to find a dealer who sells. Used Office Furniture in London
I assured him and told him that I will be calling him the next day. I
talked to my contacts and I got information about a dealer. My friends
told me that the dealer sells best Used Office Furniture in London.
I went to this warehouse and asked him to show me the boardroom tables.
When he showed me his collection, I got amazed. I selected a table as
per the design in our office and called my boss. I told him that the
deliver of the table will be on the next day.
Next
day, when he saw the table, he thanked me and told me that you have
made a nice decision and gave me a letter. When I went home and opened
the letter, it was my promotion letter.
